I downloaded a copy of this a decade ago, when Vox Day made it freely available on his Vox Popoli website, and have read it multiple times since. As the second book in his Eternal Warriors series, I wondered how he would follow the epic scale of The War in Heaven. Well, he did by writing a completely different book. The celestial landscapes of the first are replaced by the mundane vistas of high school life, but beneath the surface evil is moving, leaving small ripples in the lives of boys and girls about to meet a vengeful horror from before time.
The author really brought form to things we can only imagine in the unseen world. The heroes had tough decisions to make, even with angels before them. I'm grabbing the third book for sure.
